Stuart leads the company as it builds an ecosystem of travel technology and services that empower travel brands around the world. His experience over the past decade includes leadership roles focused on growth hacking and scaling businesses across hospitality, retail, eCommerce and the travel industry for companies such as Rhino Africa and eCommerce giants Naspers and Media 24. Stuart’s passion for travel, wildlife and conservation-based tourism was the driving force behind founding Flux and its mission to bring travel and hospitality brands of meaning into the digital world.
Chris is a Senior Account Catalyst at Flux, focusing on maximising the online performance of his client portfolio. As former Chief Operating Officer at Perfect Hideaways, Chris joins Flux with a wealth of experience in leadership, business operations, project management and business coaching, predominantly within the hospitality industry. Having worked with giants in the luxury travel industry including Rhino Africa, Fairmont, and Kempinksi, we are fortunate to have Chris’ impressive hospitality and commercial expertise drive our clients’ performance.
Sarah serves as an Account Catalyst. Drawing from her extensive background in e-commerce and a degree in Corporate Communications, she adeptly navigates the intricacies of digital platforms, contributing to the success of optimizing performance and fostering growth. Sarah’s professional efforts mirror her enthusiasm for travel, infusing a distinctive and inspired perspective into her collaborations with clients.
Kirsten serves as an Account Catalyst with extensive experience in Key and Senior Account Manager roles across diverse industries. With previous experience in luxury hospitality and a formal education in Public Relations, Advertising and Applied Communication, Kirsten brings a keen understanding of marketing and communications to strategically driving online growth for her client portfolio.
As the dedicated Project Manager at Flux, Leone’s role is to ensure that all projects are well-planned, efficiently executed and delivered to the highest standard. Having worked as a Project Manager for several years across various industries, she is passionate about process mapping and implementing agile ways of working to improve outputs. Outside of work, Leone is also passionate about soccer, travelling, and loves spending time outdoors enjoying all the sights that Cape Town has to offer.
Seton is our Head of Marketing, overseeing our multi-channel marketing portfolio and optimising lead acquisition for our clients. After specialising in Integrated Organisational Communication at UNISA, Seton started her career in digital marketing, focusing on travel to Africa and managing marketing initiatives for both a large tour operator and individual properties. Seton is committed to digital transformation and using data to drive decisions. She is passionate about knowledge share, empowering young and previously disadvantaged groups and partnering with brands that prioritise community development and sustainability.
As our Social Media Specialist, Claire is the creative force behind our brand and our client’s social media presence. Her experience with executing creative strategies and lead contributions allows her to effectively connect a brand with the right audience and tell its unique story. Claire always has her finger on the pulse of digital trends with a knack for turning ideas into engaging content and her passion for travel and culture.
Jen joins us as the Content Manager. With a passion for crafting compelling narratives, she specialises in curating content that not only engages but also resonates with audiences. Jen’s commitment lies in transforming complex ideas into clear, impactful messages that leave a lasting impression. Through strategic content management, she strives to weave stories that captivate, inform, and inspire, driving meaningful connections between brands and their audiences.
Tauri serves as the Paid Media Specialist. Holding an honours degree in marketing from the University of Stellenbosch, Tauri initially embarked on her career in the travel industry, drawn to its captivating nature. Demonstrating a steadfast dedication to delivering quality work, she leads campaigns that strive to redefine success within the dynamic landscape of paid media.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Design and extensive experience in luxury travel, Jovanna is a skilled Digital Designer at Flux. Jovanna’s keen eye and creative thinking ensures that our client websites, campaigns, and brand collateral are visually appealing, on-brand, and digitally ready— allowing for an aesthetically pleasing telling of their unique brand stories.
With previous experience in luxury travel design, Ula joins Flux as a skilled Digital Designer. Ula’s keen eye and unique perspective ensures that our clients’ brand collateral, websites and campaigns are visually appealing, on-brand, and cutting-edge – allowing for an aesthetically pleasing and eye-catching telling of their brand stories.
As a Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Specialist at Flux, Jess ensures that all client websites are SEO-optimised from a technical, content and authority perspective to maximise Organic performance. Jess has a deep passion for understanding how search engines work and is constantly analysing data to monitor the performance of SEO strategies. Her passion for SEO and Organic Marketing drives her to constantly experiment with new tools and techniques, from keyword research and on-page optimisation to link building and content creation. Her love for travel has also allowed her to better understand and appreciate the brands that Flux works with.
As an experienced CTO and full-stack developer with over 6 years of experience across multiple industries and specialist digital areas, including Web development, App building and Web3 technologies, Dominic leads our multidisciplinary Technology team in UX, website and product development, and conversion rate optimisation (CRO).
Raa-iq is our Lead Web Developer at Flux, developing and maintaining client websites to ensure they meet the highest standards. After attending a coding bootcamp, he directed his focus towards web development, building expertise in both front-end and back-end solutions. Raa-iq is fascinated by the problem-solving component of development, and the ability to translate an idea into a more tangible asset. He is passionate about providing our clients with the appropriate technology needed to allow their online brand to flourish.
Josh is our front-end Web Developer. He graduated in 2021 with a Higher Certificate in Information Systems: Web development at Eduvos. Following this, he chose to hone in on his front-end development skills, building websites with a focus on responsiveness, interactivity and attention to detail. Josh has a passion for travel and is grateful to be involved with a company that supports environmental sustainability and sustainable tourism.
Tapfuma, affectionately known as Taps, is an experienced developer with a wealth of knowledge in the luxury travel industry. Taps’s analytical mind and effective communication skills enable him to collaborate effortlessly with clients and team members, guaranteeing that projects adhere to the highest standards. His profound understanding of the luxury travel sector empowers him to create tailored digital solutions that align seamlessly with industry needs and trends. Taps’ unwavering commitment to excellence and his passion for crafting captivating online experiences make him an invaluable asset in the realm of web development.
Skyla is a skilled UX Designer at Flux, with a BA in Visual Communication from Red & Yellow. Skyla has a passion for travel, and travel technology, and a unique background leading an expedition tour in Antarctica, personalising experiences with a focus on science and photography. In her role as UX Designer, Skyla focuses on creating optimised user experiences across clients’ digital platforms, and designing Flux Product UX that improves client experience and solves the problems faced by luxury travel brands.
With a strong foundation in finance and experience in both FMCG and hospitality, Natascha has honed her data analysis skills to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. As our in-house Data Analyst, Natascha leverages data to drive strategic decisions and enable maximum ROI for our clients in the luxury travel industry.
Jackson (affectionately named after a favourite travel destination, Jackson Hole, Wyoming) is our in-residence accountability partner. He ensures that all members of the Flux team adhere to a core value: “We don’t take ourselves too seriously – because life is a gift and it’s way more fun with laughter”. Jackson is passionate about socks, chewing, tummy rubs and any form of affection shown by anything with a heartbeat.
